Augmented Reality News: Remarkable 3D Overlay of Top Gear Presenter James May



As demonstrated in the video above (and in a longer BBC report that can be accessed here), London’s Science Museum has teamed with Top Gear presenter James May and app developer DigiCave (using Qualcomm’s Vuforia augmented reality system) to put a virtual James May into some of their exhibits. A number of the Science Museum’s most prized objects now offer a tour by a 3D video rendering of Mr. May that can be accessed via iPhone, iPad or Android device.
